That's very peaceful! I wonder if you tried louder piano, softer strings? Right now, they are close to equal, but I'm biased and think the piano should carry the load.  :)    Hope your dog hangs in there . . . or at least it's peaceful.

Thanks Tom, I'll play around with the levels some and see what comes of that.

But yea, the hound is still alive and kicking and going strong. I probably shouldn't worry about such things until the day arrives.

Dynamically, everything is too static. It's a pretty piece and has a ton of potential to really be made into something special. I can hear you going one of two ways: 1) gospel sound, 2) majestic orchestral.

very nice - it reminds me of a Vangelis piece. I agree the piano needs to be brought forward

Just had a listen...   sounds pretty good overall.  The balance between piano and strings is pretty good, though the piano itself has a bit of a dull tone.  For me, I'd like a slightly brighter piano and slightly mellower strings to bring more focus to the piano.   But that's just me.

FWIW, I have two 11 year old dogs, so I hear ya 100%!

Another dog owner here. Our mutt turned 16 this month. A grand old age for a medium sized dog. She isn't doing that well, but as long as she still gets up in the morning and eats her breakfast we are doing our best to make her as comfortable as possible.

    That was a lovely tune

    cheers

This is a lovely piece whether you're a pet owner or not.  I think it might have more impact if the strings didn't play all the way through, but were used at certain moments to enhance the piano.  Nevertheless, you've made many dogs happy!

    All the best,
    Lynn
