Don't Mean Maybe
This is perhaps my favorite song: http://soundcloud.com/aaudiomystiks/dontmeanmaybe and maybe the best thing I have ever done. It's a love song about this French girl, Joakes and I were fighting the other day (Joakes) is French, so the connection. The premise is I'm a shop assistant, well I start off in that charecter, Emergency, there is a spill on aisle 5 (numerology), I suppose I'm in love the supermarket girl again (the French girl), then some sort of creature invades the supermarket, the spill. The Dr arrives (Dr Who) for all those english head's. I suppose it ends with The Dr saving us and me begging the girl not to break my heart. She did by the way!! The Neb

Lynn Whatever you're taking for inspiration, I'll take a gram of it. I'm a satellite, a sunburst and no guys I'm being egotistical. It's all about connections with the universe. I don't need anything to create and I don't! I can force myself to work without any party enhancer's. I have learnt a languge, the guy at UTAS called it musical prosody, hey?? that's a stange one coming from a creative person. Yes it's helps to live in a puff of smoke but if that is the only way you can work then you are not working something else is doing it for you. It's the old adage of the creativity controlling you and not the other way round. Yes I need something to switch the satellite off, mostly piss (alcohol) at night but I could sit here right now and come up with something that would impress and make people say what! All with a cup of coffee, ok cofffee is stimulate. The universe sings and if you can silence the mind, you can hear it's melody. Christ I sound like some new age freak (no offence). My aim with music, is to be anti, so the trend is x, I will take x and add zeta+ just to make people go, hang on a minute. So with this track, I have taken the 80's drum sound, one of the kits from the Roland module, added Jim Morrison, King Crimson with a touch of The Beatles, then added Dr.Who. Why not??? I have a twin to this track wich I will post in a week or two, don't want to over do it and you will see what I mean. Thanks for listening lynn Neb

Ben, I was being tongue in cheek, but I forgot to use an emoticon. ;) I'm just saying you have a different approach to music than I do. I've enjoyed your noncommercial appeal before, and I will again.

Thanks guys, I knew you were being tounge in cheek lynn, I was just explaining my creative process for people. And I was being serious, the universe does sing, we are never listening and if we are it's only for a fraction of a second and some of us are lucky to be quick enough to jot the idea down. Love ya Neb

I have to say the bass is cool. The song gave me a Tom Waits meets Jim Morrison on a pretty good acid trip vibe.

Crazily original Ben, I like it a lot. Sounds a lot like a late 70's electro pop vibe from my original part of the world (Liverpool) It's also got a nice 'boom ooh yat at at cha' drum sequence that sounds like Morecambe and Wise on a druggy trip, and that can only be a good thing... Garry

Very quirkey indeed! The mix sounds good and the tune gets your attention quick and does not let go. I'm glad you gave the synopsys though cause I'm not sure I would have gotten it otherwise.

you are a f'ing weirdo... but it's good! there's a certain strain of American weirdo music, bands like Secret Chiefs or most of Mike Patton's stuff, and i guess it traces an ancestry back to the Zapster himself...this is short and sweet and i think would be awesome for a comic strip video...
