Don't You Wave That Thing at Me

Hey.  New original "Don't You Wave That Thing at Me".  Based on a cool 7/4 bass riff I made which then seemed to fit with some words that came to me on Australia Day last year.

Top of the list at: http://www.soundclick.com/danielroberts

The usual: comments, suggestions, criticisms all welcome.

later,
daniel

Well since I wasn't asked to comment? I'll do so anyway. It feels a little, actually a lot hollow in the low mids? And I can hear that snare really well, maybe a little too well? But where's the kick? And the bass is not "bassy?"

It's like the whole mid-low to low half of this thing is out of town? As a patriot, the subject matter was a little rough for me personally.

I would hit this thing with a MB compressor and boost the ass end a bit, back off that snare a little, Bring the lead vox up a bit, and the bgv up a bit more. Good song though.

Oh wait, it's my stupid connection in to the PC. I have an adapter with a little 8th inch jack?

I figured it could not have been right, what I was hearing? So I reconnected everything. And listened again, excellent performance and mix. I still may take a smidge off that snare, but on the hole? Sounds great, but then again? On the hole? What doesn't :-)

Cool, thanks.  I didn't try this on a lot of speakers, so haven't checked compatibility.

I'm a patriot too, man.  That's the point!

Yeah it's was my messed up connection with the phones, your mix sounds awesome, and the performances are all top notch. Good job, really.

AAaah, thanks.  I listened again last night and couldn't really match what I was hearing to what you were saying.  Now, it makes sense.

    Thanks for the listen.
