DopeVST Beat Machine 1.0 Multiple Track Outputs

Hello All,
I recently purchased DopeVST Beat Machine 1.0 and it is a WONDERFUL vst plugin for Hip Hop beats. There are over 500 kits and it comes with MIDI files that you can insert in the DAW to create some pretty dope drum patterns. There are 250 kits assigned to stereo output on channel 1 on the DAW where all 4 instruments (snare, kick, hat, percussion) play on 1 track. There are also 250 kits labeled with a 4 in front of it that has capability to route each sound to seperate outputin the DAW. When I choose the 4 labeled Kits, I only hear the kick on stereo channel 1, but nothing else. How do I route the other 3 sounds in Sonar output so that I can assign each sound to a seperate track? I like to put effects on my different drum sounds for personal taste. I can;t figure this out to save my life..Lol..Any suggestions?

Not familiar with plugin, but in general, the easiest way to insert a multi-output vst in sonar is to select that option at the beginning when selecting. A box with options should pop up and you can check multi. I suggest using the create folder option too. This should create tracks equivalent to the number your vst is capable of. You may have to alter routing from within vst since that is not automatic with all vsts.

ok I will try the create folders option, thats about the only thing I have not tried thus far when  choosing options from the dialogue box, because there is no routing capabilities within the vst. Thanks!

Seems like an interesting VST.  Wish they offered a demo version so i could help more.  I'm not paying $99 for what pretty much amounts to a nice collection of lo-fi drum samples.  Don't get me wrong.  i can appreciate lo-fi sp-1200 type samples, but i already have a ton of them.

Well I think the biggest plus with this vst is that they matched the drums sounds beautifully. The snares, hat, and kick match and compliment each other..I feel ya on having a ton of drums sounds..I also have an extensive library but I haven't took the time to put the right sounds together in a folder or kit like they have. Guess I'm getting lazy with programming my own drums these days, this makes it easy to just load and go and if I have to add or tweak, I can do that as well in a matter of minutes. I wanna tweak each sound which is why I'm trying to get the outputs right to make them my own.

I hear you on the laziness. I'm very lazy with that stuff but can usually find a few nice kits that I simply need to drop samples into drum program.  It is nice to have them matched up already. weird that it doesn't just popup.  when you select multiple output in Sonar does it only bring up one track still?

Well, when I open the synth folder to choose options, i choose the multi outputs,it creates multiple tracks within the track view but when I choose the vst as input from the different tracks input/output, it only plays the 1 sound (kick). I can't figure out how to play the other 3 sounds. When I get home tonight I am going to try the create folders option and see how that helps.

the folder is simply for organizational purposes and should not affect routing. Since Sonar is making the tracks it sees the other outputs.  Kind of weird that VST has no way to look at routing from within.  Is there no settings option whatsoever?

If the "Insert Soft Synth Options" dialog or manually adding audio tracks with inputs set to the appropriate plug-in outputs fail to generate the expected result, it may be time to ask the vendor how to they create a multl-track instance of their plug-in in SONAR. The vendor claims to support SONAR on the product page. I know of one drum synth vendor requiring the dll be renamed to cause it to create the appropriate number of outputs. This plug-in may require a similar approach.

There are some questions and answers in the You Tube video of SoundsAndGear at :
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6G47mJgJZs
I presume it's Drowzie who asked the last question; and yes, the answers are not very explicit ! :
If I understand well, you have to select an instrument kit with the number 4 and create 4 audio tracks; But I suppose you have to open 4 instances of Dope Beat Machine (DBP) for each one of these 4 audio tracks :(but I'm not sure if it's the correct way of it is working)

First instrument track of DBP with : 4 kit name A
    input : omni midi (default)
output : audio track 1 (named Kick)

    first Audio track (kick)
    input : DBP
    output : Master

Second instrument track of DBP with : 4 kit name A
    input : omni midi (default)
output : audio track 2 (named Snare)

    Second Audio track (Snare)
    input : DBP
    output : Master

    And so on ...

     Here are the questions/answers I reported :

"Great video. I have this pack and I use it with maschine but...
How do I get to play the separate tracks? I can play only the kicks
    thanks!!!!!
    SoundsAndGear.co
make sure you load the file that isn't the separated version then you should hear all the sounds and not just the kick, use the ones that have a 1 before it and not a 4  "

"How do you route the different sounds to separate channel in the DAW? I use Sonar. I don't see a mixer on this VST to route to the different channels. Thank in advance.
SoundsAndGear.com  You open the kits that have a 4 before them, which stands for 4 outputs. Then you can chose them in your daw. Output 1 is the kick, 2 is the snare, etc. "
