Dorchester snap issue
I never set 'snap' to 1/16. Yet in dorchester it is continually getting set to that value. New bug, I believe.

I noticed on a project today in 3/4 Smart Grid kept setting the snap to 1/2 note. Which in 3/4 is about the least smart thing to do. Edit: I just read it's based on your zoom level and has nothing to do with your project. Time to turn that off I'd say.

I never use Smart Grid, and have actually noticed that moving clips ignores the global snap setting, which is "Measure" in my case, when the project is opened. Clips move as if it's set to "1/4," and I have to switch to "1/4" and then switch back to "Measure" to have snap work correctly. I don't think I experienced this before Dorchester.

Yes. Not by me, to be sure, but I guess the Dorchester install did it. Another dumb 'smart' feature. Sheesh

Thanks for reporting back, I was curious. I think it's the default. I doubt if there's a registry entry that keeps track of the Smart Grid status parameter, so it wouldn't persist when you install a new version. On a related subject I'd like to see fade curves persist, but they don't either. 95% of the time I use fast curve out, slow fade in.

I think the Snap module on my CB is somewhat broken. With Smart Grid disabled, I switch the module size from Large to Medium and select "1/16" etc. and then switch it back to Large and the snap resolution on the button automatically changes to "1/4" (but it still snaps to 1/16). The issue I mentioned above must be something to do this. williamcopper Another dumb 'smart' feature. Sheesh
For this reason I always use my custom project template, in which Smart Grid is disabled.
