Dose the sounds in garritan pocket orchestra 4 come in Dimesion pro?

Dose the sounds in garritan pocket orchestra 4 come in Dimesion pro?
And is dimesion pro good for writing string music or concertos.

I watch review of garritan pocket orchestra 4 on Soundsandgear youtube I'd liked what I seen and heard.
I like the fact garritan pocket orchestra 4 didn't take long to load and works best with finale.

Thanks

Yes it does. It's a bare bones version of GPO 4.

Well I don't want be that guy that says I need garritan pocket orchestra 4 to write classical music etc. lol
I do own Dimension Pro 1.5 and the Digital Sound Factory Virtuoso 2000 " I had for years" which are good.

Dimension pro is great but has it's flaws
    1. is when closing the software when I reopen it I've always got go through the list of sounds.
    2. Takes so long to load a sound'

I tried Sfz player with Digital Sound Factory Virtuoso 2000 but I can't get the Prog and Sfz files to work.

    Thanks

1 - I guess you mean in stand alone mode? It always remembers the loaded sound in a sonar project or a Sonar track template.
2 - I suppose it depends on what you mean by "long" but compaired to something like the huge Kirk Hunter orchestral samples I use in for Kontakt its fast.

Prog files are Dim Pro specific but if you are looking for a powerful SFZ player try TS16Wx - its free

It'll do just fine for composition. You might eventually want to invest in a more expressive library for more realistic inflections and articulations, but for writing music Dim Pro (or even the TTS-1) will suffice.

After all, Beethoven did it with nothing but a piano.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

The Garritan Pocket Orchestra is a very streamlined, bare bones version of GPO4. I liked the Dim Pro version so much I bought the full version and went on to get the Jazz & Big Band pack as well. No, they aren't nearly as good as your $500-$1500 string libraries but for the buck I don't think there is a better package out there.

Sonar Platinum, Sonar X3e, Sonar X2a , Sonar X1 Expanded and 8.5.3 (32 and 64 bit), Windows 10 on a Toshiba P75-A7200 Laptop with i7 @ 2.4 quad and 8 gigs of RAM and secondary WD 1 Tb drive, Windows 10 desktop, Asus i5 @ 3.2 quad, 12 gigs RAM, 1 Tb drive, 1 500 gig drive, MOTU 24io, 2 Roland Studio Captures, Saffire 6 USB for laptop, Soundtracs Topaz Project 8 mixer, Alesis Monitor 2s, Event BAS 20/20s, Roland Micro-Monitor BA-8s, and 45 years worth of collecting FX, Mics, Amps, Guitars, and Keyboards!

I'm talking about the part after you pick your sound if you want to change it you got scroll back to it.
Depending where sound located on the list like string are close to the bottom "I think" I would scroll to that sound
click the [+] and find a new string sound. Though not big problem as much time takes to load on my machine.
I might try go to Dim Le which came with my Sonar x2 basic version instead on the big version and see if that helps.

To be honest I do the same I start off with a piano but some my pieces I wanted more. "
Or in my head sounded better as a string piece" Most my work though is piano solos.
I have had a hard time finding people who were interested in doing classical like me.
So I figured well I've got this VST just make my own quartet band. lol

Well one thing I liked about Garritan Personal Orchestra is works with my finale better.
but I'm going try Dim Le and see what how it runs with finale print music

    Thanks
