Double Click for Staff?

I just realized today that double clicking a clip brings up the piano roll view... Is there a way to change that function to bring up staff? That would make my life so much easier :-)

Try this (from the manual): To specify which view should open when you double-click a clip, click the Track view Options menu, point to Click Behavior > Double-Click and choose the desired view.

And for the record, I openly admit, I am terribly bad at reading manuals. Haha.

This has always been an option in Sonar.

Oh I believe it, it's one of those things that makes so much sense but I never even thought to look into, you know what I mean? Like I was all excited recently when I realized I could make a keyboard shortcut for it... But double click is even easier :-)

You can also set this on a clip by clip basis - by clicking in the top right corner of a clip, you can select what edit mode it will open, and it will remember that for next time you open that clip - and different clips can have different defaults set.

That was new to me, thanks for mentioning it. Now I see it has been there since at least X2. The little legend in the top right tries to show which editor will open with double click.
