Double Tracking?

Hey,

I am a big fan of double tracking vocals, guitars, even drums.  I am at a loss as to how to do this in Sonar Producer.  I have two problems:

1.  Creating a separate copy of a recorded track to be unique so that I can manipulate it (ie. with the delay I need for good sounding double tracking)

2.  The delay effect in Sonar is very complicated and I can't just create a simple 20ms delay on my track.

I basically can deal with the delay effect... I can work around it somewhat... I wish they had made it simpler to use, or just a simple delay in the effects menu.  But really my first problem I can't figure out.  Whenever I copy a tracks contents to a new track and save them separate they seem to be linked together for ever.  Changes made to one track are made to the other track.  This means it's impossible for me to effect just one of my tracks.  If someone could tell me how to get them separate without having to do another live take of track in question I would be very appreciative.

Thanks,
Ryan

for adding delay use the delay effect and just add it to the FX bin on the track you want to affect you can also create a buss for delay and use automation to rout any tracks you want to it even on and off

When you copy and paste you are shown the list of options. Uncheck "Copy as linked clips".

The only way to get the true double tracking effect is to record 2 takes of the vocal.
