Double click midi clip - doesn't open at the clip time?

It may be me, my X1 settings or something, but:
In 8.5 if I double clicked on a midi clip it would open in PRV at the measure where the clip is, nomatter where the 'now' time line was.  This behaviour makes sense as it's obvious I want to see the note contents of the clip at the measure where they are.  In X1 when I double click on a midi clip the PRV opens but at the now time - then I have to scroll horizontally to the notes I want to attend to, or first put the now time to where the clip is.  I don't want to unfairly chalk up an instance where X1 is unnecessarily clunky compared to 8.5, so I'm doing something wrong, yes?

I believe that is intended behavior.  However, X1c may bring it back to the way it use to be.

Set the "left click sets now time" option in the TV menu Options->Click Behaviour.

Now you can either double click the bottom of a MIDI track and the PRV opens at the now time or double click in the top half and it will move the now time and open the PRV where you click.

Of course moving the now time may not be what you want but it appears you can either/or but not both.
