Double clicking on an effect in a ProChannel FX Chain deletes it [NOT SOLVED]

What's up with that?  I add an effect in a Prochannel FX Chain but when I double click it it disappears.  What am I missing?  It happens on Cakewalk and 3rd party plugs and it only happens on my desktop - not my laptop.

If I have FX Chains in ProChannel it can only be X2.  This is not hardware related.

Nope, if you can't be bothered to update your footer then we are at deadlock (we don't even know if you are 64 bit or 32 bit for instance, the more info you supply the easier it will be to compare people's configurations). Hopefully somebody else will help you.

If you think that my footer has anything to do with this issue then you wouldn't be much help anyway but thanks for your consideration.

I'm all for information when it will help. I don't have any information in my footer about my system either.

I doubt I will ever put such info in my footer. If I think that info is needed to solve an issue I will provide it when needed.

On the other hand its not a bad idea to provide as much info as you can when asking a question.

Exactly.  I always list in the post any information that might be pertinent. In this case I don't think it's necessary.  Also I have more clues. When I ctrl-click on the effect it opens properly and doesn't disappear into the FX bin.  It sure seem like some setting somewhere but I can't find anything like that anywhere.  Very odd.

Maybe something is screwy with your mouse settings - in Windows, not SONAR.
It sounds like 'click' isn't doing what it should do...

I've checked that and can't find anything.   Also it seems to work OK everywhere else.

I have no idea exactly which one it could be, but, have you checked your key-bindings in SONAR?

I can't think of what to look for.  Are there any key bindings that have to do with mouse clicks?

This turned out to be an issue when the Console Emulation was in the Pro Channel.  Installing the Quickfix solved it.

I haven't been doing it during playback but I'll try.   After I did the update I successfully move all my FX Bin VST's to the PC and could successfully open them by double clicking.  Then I pulled up another project the the problem started happening in that.  Now when I drag a VST from the fX Bin into the PC it just totally dissapears.  Nice.

i had a weird thing happen that may be related. when clicking on an fx or synth, nothing happened. called tech support. turned out (so they said) it's a windows issue. they had me go to my desktop, change screen resolution, then revert back. when i got back to sonar, all the missing pieces were there.

The more I try to work with FX Chains in the PC the more I conclude that it's complete buggy mess.  At some point I'll learn not to upgrade expecting what is advertised.
