Down grade to Sonar Artist?

Just wondering if Sonar Artist would be more resource friendly because it doesn't have ProCh built in?

I'm pretty sure the PC uses zero resources if you don't use it. I have Platinum on a machine that's far below the recommended specs and the PC doesn't cause me resource issues.

they use both about the same amount of resources. GUI the same as well.
PC doesn't use resources unless its being used. What kind of resources problems are you having ?
List your specs and maybe we can find some tweaks for you.

No real problems until I load a ton of plugins. lol
I would just like a more barebones DAW for mixing but if it's about the same pull... no point ... :)

    Thanks guys!

You can always customize Lens or Screensets To remove essential widgets, buttons even faders. Slim/narrow faders, exc. I use different views for each process in sonar. for recording I have a bare bones meter bridge with faders. for house cleaning I use a small dock with a few more buttons and for mixing I have almost everything.
