Duckbar 2.0.6 introduces new runtime buttons in the Track View. Track View menubar has plenty of empty room for extra goodies. The two buttons shown in the screen capture are just a good start...
 

Track View menubar buttons are located next to Region FX menuitem

Duckbar button: right-click opens context-menu with useful Duckbar features designed for SONAR runtime use.
Crossfades button gives you back what Bakers took away from SONAR X series: visual feedback and button to toggle auto crossfades status! In SONAR X it's buried in the Track View Options menu which is VERY annoying for an audio clip editor like me who needs to toggle crossfades on / off all the time and maintain speed of light. I don't know if you have missed that button but I have!

Crossafades button exists in the floating toolbar, too, but this one is dynamic and follows accurately on/off status, no matter if you set crossfades by keyboard shortcut, from Options menu or by clicking that button.

Hmm, getting the "Duckbar has stopped working" message.
 X64
Installed using compatibility mode for Win7 and ran as administrator. (Had to reinstall because I forgot to change settings beforehand. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Uninstalled before I reinstalled)
Changed the application to use compatibility mode as well when it failed to start and ran as admin. No go.

Yup. Tried 2.0.5 as well just now. Same things. :(



Reading through this thread I finally start to understand the power of duckbar! I've also had problems finding good info about what exactly it can do. Awesome work Panup!! :O
 
Unfortunately I get exactly the same error as TerraSin, after going through the exact same process :/
Duckbar crashes instantly on start.
 
I'm on windows 8.1 64bit and run Sonar X3e

check if Duckbar created log file before crash.
File path: %appdata%\SONAR Mods\Duckbar\log.txt
 
See anything there?

I tried running as admin and running in Win 7 compatibility mode as well, but get the instant crash on Windows 8.1.

New version 2.0.7 is available.
It fixes one compatibility issue which could cause program crash on load or immediately after opening the main menu.

I JUST downloaded 2.0.6 like 15 minutes ago. I can't keep up with you! Should I wait a few minutes before downloading this one, in case you want to update it again?

Yes, you need 2.0.7. It fixes one MAJOR issue!

One more question: have you ever saved SONAR Preferences? Clean SONAR install has not created all registry keys Duckbar may require.  Easy check: open SONAR Preferences and click Apply.

Got it to open finally but when I went to choose which Sonar to use (because I have both X2 and X3 on my system), it crashed out again with the same error. When reopened, I have all the menu options at the top till I click on the bar, then they all disappear and all that is left is Help.

Could you copy & paste log file?
Empty menubar = Duckline is in offline mode. Right-click Duckbar icon to open settings:
 

 
What X3 build version do you have? Latest is X3e build 352.

Update to version 2.1.1 is available.

New feature (X3e PE x64 only): In EXE Colors you can edit default Color Palette. :)
