Dragging a .wav file onto a track doesn't place it properly on the timeline

This is probably a simple fix and more of a nuisance than anything else.  When I drag an audio file (.wav) from windows explorer onto a track in Sonar, it doesn't place it at the beginning of the track or even at the play head.  Once it imports, I have to find it on the timeline and drag it back to the beginning (00:00:00).  Is there some simple keyboard shortcut that I'm missing here?

Deselect "Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp" in Preferences > File > Audio Data

Even bringing the audio clip up in the browser media windows and selecting "Insert at Now Time" doesn't work.
