Drawing controller data in a line instead of separated nodes

In Ableton live, you can draw a line for a pitch change very easily as an automation and the line is solid and you can of course add nodes.

I would like this to be implemeted in sonar for controller data.

So when in piano roll view, bringing up a controller like pitch, making an option for an envelope for editing instead of those separated controller data notes that are much more of a pain to "draw" in or manually edit. Heck, why not put an envelope over the separated controller data.

I am talking about a solid line envelope that can be changed and nodes can be added to so it works like panning/volume/plugin parameters/ etc. in track view.

You can do it in track view, automation lanes for midi track.

adq, you can draw an envelope, as you say, but you cannot convert that to midi controllers (afaik), which is necessary for midi export.    Just as the OP says, it would be great to have this right there in the controller pane in a PRV.
