Dream Guitars 2

And speaking of guitars, or at least weird derivatives of guitars here's an oddball for your consideration: Dream Guitars 2 from Dream Audio Tools. 27.90 EUR ($32.82) intro price. It's a Kontakt library (25 instruments) for quickly generating rhythmic beds.

After seeing that program  I feel pretty much like how drummers must have felt when they lost their gigs to drum machines

Speaking of Dream Guitars and not trying to hijack this thread, but just wanted to mention this excellent library by  MegaMagic......Dreams for Kontakt (Serum, Omnisphere etc..). Very useable and great sounding patches straight out of the box.

Your hijack is forgiven, Mesh, because MegaMagic Dreams is indeed pretty cool. And it's even tangentially on-topic, because MMD would nicely complement the library that is this thread's subject.

That's why it's only $32.

Get the full Kontakt, you know you want to! A world of cheap libraries is calling.

Is this the developer where all of the guitar stuff is undervalued?   I'm not into guitar libraries but these are affordable.

Re: Dream Guitars 2 2017/10/08 00:44:47 (permalink)
I'm always in two minds about guitar sample libraries. On the one hand, I'm a more than capable guitarist, have a beautiful sounding steel string, an American Telecaster and a couple of very good mics. On the other hand, I've never worked out how to deal with the fan noise and street noise my mics pick up, and my Telecaster has unbearable buzz with high gain sounds.

So I go to look at guitar libraries, and then I can't bring myself to lay the money down because it just seems like I should be doing more to fix my guitar recording problems instead.

One exception recently was with the strummed acoustic library you get with Komplete Ultimate. I hated it at first, but recently used it to add some simple muted strumming to a track and it sounds soooo good.
