Driver Error Asio MOTU PCI And Unexpected Error Occured #15

I've never seen this error before (Unexpected Error Occured #15). Of course Reason 6 doesn't have any issues with this driver. My computer and other programs don't have any issues with the MOTU Asio PCI Driver. Only Sonar! I've used this before without issue. I even downloaded and installed the driver again and that hasn't helped. Only Asio drivers are available for selection within Sonar! I don't know what error #15 is! I would assume something is going on with Sonar as everything else seems to work without issue. I have updated Sonar a, b, and c patch updates! I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Under what circumstances do you get this error, and what happens next?  Are all projects are affected?  Is SONAR running at the same sample rate as the other apps?

Are you using a PCI motu system with  possibly a 424 card? You don't say in your post.

I'm using an 896mk3. After getting the error message, and I tried to insert a soft synth, it produced No audio? No meters, nothing! This a 64bit machine and I get this issue with the 32bit Sonar on this drive as well. And! I have another drive with Win 7 32bit that I don't have any problems with. It works will all the audio programs including Sonar just fine! So, I'm a bit puzzled about it. Would you think I might uninstall Sonar and re-install it and see what happens? This just recently started happening actually as I've been using it in the past. Again, it doesn't seem to affect Reason 6 and the computer audio seems to work as well, it plays mp3 files with Media Player without issue.

You might start by renaming AUD.INI. SONAR will build a default one at startup. You'll find it in a  path like:

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\SONAR X1 Producer\

I uninstalled the MOTU driver and now it seems to work! I would have done that immediately if by chance none of the other programs worked but they did. None the less, there must have been a conflict! Yay! ;)
