DropZone Problems within Project 5

Anyone else having isues with Drop-Zone within Project 5 (2.5.1)?

Everytime I try to load it, Boom!
Exception code (Error-Unhandled exception) and then Project 5 closes.

Oh the humanity...

I have tried to re-install it, but no go, it still crashes P5 out...
And then I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library buffer overrun detected.
Any guesses?
DropZone works fine in Sonar 7, btw...

My site i guess;)

    I really don't like "bumping" a topic.

Perhaps I am the only one with this issue...

Seems to work here. Any change with latency setting?

No, sadly not. It's really weird.
It happens with the ASIO & the WDM drivers (using M-Audio Firewire 410).
I can load mutiple instances of Rapture & Dimension - but with Drop-Zone, BAM!!!
This is after I increase the latency settings to maximum.

I can do without it, (or perhaps re-wire into Sonar if I really needed it) but was curious if any one else had issues with Drop-zone.
Oh, and it seems to occur with Project 5 1.5 as well...

Also, Drop-Zone works fine as a Stand-Alone on my system with any and all audio drivers & latencies when I use it with Savi-Host.

    Weird.

And thanks for taking time out to look at this René.
I know you are a very busy person - so any light you can shed on this is much appreciated.

Mdk, I was thinking the opposite actually. I'm thinking in terms of differences between K2 and P5. Try setting the latency to 256 samples (5.8ms) to see if that makes a diff.

    Thanks everyone for the assist.

    Sorry René,
I tried out (several times) the lower latency settings and I still get the P5 Crash and the visual C++ buffer overrun codes.
I really hate being a bother & the bearer of bad news.

If there's any other info you need...

I don't have an answer for you, but just wanted to confirm that it loads fine into P5 2.51 for me.

Yeah, I figure that's the case for most folks as well.
Hopefully, the problem will dissolve with the next P5 update, whenever the heck that happens...

MurderDethKill, I had the same problem and managed to resolve it. The cause: I was using a newer version of the DropZone dll with an older version of a Cakewalk product.

Here's how the problem happened: 1) I installed Music Creator 4, which came with DropZone; 2) I installed Sonar HS 6.2, which also came with DropZone, but for some reason, it's DropZone didn't overwrite the version that came with Music Creator.

Here's how I solved it: I deleted the dropzone dll, and reinstalled it from the Sonar HS 6.2 CD (you can choose just to install that one component).

That solved the problem; however, I was disappointed to find that many of the DropZone presets were missing. That's because a bunch of new presets came with Music Creator 4. If you run into this problem, you can get the presets from Music Creator 4 and copy them over to the appropriate folder for the DropZone presets.

Ah, My version of Dropzone came from Sonar 7 upgrade.

It just doesn't seem to want to get along with P5.

I'll probably wait until they upgrade P5 before I decide whether or not to delete it, but thanks anyway.

I have Rapture & Dimension Pro, so it's not like the end of the world - I just wanted to use it for quick & dirty Sampling

Oh, & call me MDK - all of my friends do .
