Drum Map Question in Platinum

First, a disclaimer, I tried a search on Drum Map in the forum but it returned no results, so I am asking a question that may have been answered already.  I am looking to assign a drum map to an EZ Drummer 2 MIDI track in Platinum.  However, there is no EZD presets available, (or Addictive Drums 2, which I found more surprising).  I have both EZD 1 and AD 1 presets in X3, but they don't appear in Platinum.  Now, there is a possibility that I created the ones in X3 rather than them being presets that came with the program, but that would have been a fairly tedious process for the five or six presets that I show in X3 and I don't remember doing it.  Should these preset drum maps exist in Platinum and I am just not finding them, or will I have to build them anew?

You could copy them from the X3 folder to the new folder. The location is in Preferences > File > Folder Locations. The default location is a "Drum Maps" folder in your SONAR user directory. Each version of SONAR has a separate user directory located by default in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk.

I would be interested to find the EZD 2 Drum Maps as well. Maybe someone has made them manually and would be kind enough to share?

As usual, scook has the answer.  Thank you!  For me, editing the drum MIDI in PRV is much easier with a Drum Map than with the Keyboard.

Judging by the dates on the files, it seems that I did create them.  As such, I don't have any for EZD 2 yet but I will share any that I build if anyone is interested.  I also did some 'translator' drum maps between EZD1 and AD1 as I found that I preferred the available MIDI patterns in EZD, but the drum samples in AD.

What I did some time ago was create a custom drum map folder outside the user directory and modified SONAR to point to it rather than the version specific drum map folderin the user directory. Then when a new version of SONAR arrived, I would update the folder locations to my drum map folder.

Not sure if it matters any more with the new SONAR. However, I still prefer to use a custom folder, it is with the rest of my custom files and does not run the risk of getting lost should I reuse a map name provided by Cakewalk and decide to re-personalize SONAR.

That is a great idea with the added benefit of having only those drum maps that you actually use on the list of choices.

These are the kind of workflow enhancement tips that I find really beneficial on this forum.  They address things that I tend to bludgeon my way through when they arise, leaving the rubble behind to stumble over again the next time around.  Taking a little time to build a well marked path seems so much more efficient.

I think a bit of correction on AD2 drum maps not being available is in order.  I have it on my system here: Local Disk (C:)Users/myname/AppData/Roaming/Cakewalk/SONAR Platinum/Drum Maps -AD2 Standard.map- .  IIRC, it installed when the XLN installer was run again after the update glitch from AD1 to AD2 was fixed by the XLN support team.  Before that, I had installed & used the custom AD-2 drum map from John Fitzpatrick previously available on this forum.  AD1 drum map was available by Subjacent if you don't have a copy of that one.
As I don't have EZD, sorry I can't help you there.  Hope this helps.

Thanks, heydan.  However the AD2Standard Map is not in my equivalent file folder.  I didn't install AD2 until I moved to Platinum at the end of December.  Prior to that I was still using AD1 that came with X3.  I believe that was after AD1 to AD2 update glitch was fixed.  I will look for the AD2 map from John Fitzpatrick.
