Drum samples/vsti help

Hi,

I'm looking for some drum samples/vsti's that have extremely good audio quality. I'm looking for drums that sound like a few.

1) R&B/Pop drums, something similar to Beyonce's "irreplaceable"
2) Drums that sound similar to Dido's No Angel album (Hunter for example). I don't think this is a real drum kit (And if it is, what did they do to make it sound like that?)

I don't really know the types/styles of drums I'm referring to (we hear them on LOTS of other albums too), so I hope the songs and artists help describe what I'm looking for.

    On the Beyonce song those are Roland TR808 / TR909 drum machine sounds. There are some in Roland Groovesynth and Cakewalk TTS (analog drumkit)

    Wow, thanks! I didn't realize the drums are kind of separated in that song. I think the claps are totally different than the rest of the kit... because when I hear it, the claps seem to be a high-quality sound sample... and the rest of the kit does sound like that 80's synth drums from that roland sound machine thingy. Now that you told me, I can definitely hear the difference. Thanks!

    Dido's stuff A LOT was done by her brother Rollo who is also well known.. (involved with faithless etc)

    he uses a lot of sample cd's or did.. that breakbeat in the back of the song is well , it's a bit like the one used in massive attack's unfinished sympathy.. but their version is layered up with percussion.

    I would say look for sample cd's of that time.. It's not just one library people would use. I do remember hearing a certain percussion loop used in one of her songs that I had on a sample cd.. can't remember the name of it as I've collected/bought so many over the years.

    Yeah, that song you referred me to has a very similar style drums. I love that sound. Sarah Mclachlan also uses that same sound on a few songs in her earlier albums. Man, it's such a sweet drum sound with more melo synths, acoustic guitars and female vocals.

    I was told that Big Fish Audio is a good place to go get drum samples. Do any of you have any experience with them? Are they top of the line? Is that exactly what I should be getting?
