Drum track reassignment question

I often find that when I purchase and then download a MIDI song, the drums are not prominent enough. The solution I've come up with is simply to route the drums away from the Integra 7 module that I'm using to play most of my MIDI song parts. I instead send them to my Motif ES, whose drum sounds stand out a lot more. However, it's a pretty tedious process to go to each of the approx 7 drum tracks, such as Bass drum, Snare, toms, etc, and reset the 4 parameters on each so that they'll be routed to the Motif. In addition, I have to first expand each track so I can see all four parameters, and then shrink each after I’m done. Thus, what I’m asking is if there is a shorter way to do this, such as making the changes on 1 track and having the other tracks follow these changes. I’m using Sonar X3, by the way.
Thanks.

By 4 parameters, I assume you mean Port, Channel, Bank and Patch...? The only thing you should really need to change is the Port. You can do this by Ctrl-clicking or sweeping your mouse through the track numbers for all MIDI drum tracks, and changing the Output port in the Track Inspector (Hotkey "I") while holding Ctrl (See Quick Groups in the Ref. Guide).

Since pre-packaged MIDI files are almost always going to have drums on channel 10 which I'm sure your Motif uses also, you shouldn't have to set a forced MIDI out channel. And if you really need to send Bank and Patch to get the right kit, you only need to do it on one of the tracks, but then you would need to set the forced output channel as well.

Thanks for the response. I've never really known much about the Track Inspector, thinking it was something having to do with a railroad worker. I did follow your rec's and was able to do it with just a few steps. One problem was that I didn't realize that I could change the output port in the Track Inspector and have it affect multiple tracks simply by holding down the control key! Thus, I have never really gotten into anything having to do with the Track Inspector. After I did this, I did have to change the Channel on each track, but simply did it the same way as changing the port. I then, as you suggested, simply changed the Bank and Patch on the first drum track, and it all worked perfectly--and much quicker than my way.
    Thanks again.
