Glyn Hope download and install goes well - especially after all this time - you will have to let us know if it's been worth the wait, or if it has already been surpassed by all the other products out there - I still have kitcore somewhere - no longer installed though as didn't work too well on a 64bit system Cheers Nigel

Mmmmm, from the system requirments. ***Many users report success using DrumCore 4 with Win 10. Sonoma has no reason to believe DC4 will not work with Win 10, but further internal testing is needed before we can recommend it.
Not suprising really considering when they started development it was probably on Win98

LOL! That's not really an unusual stance on Win 10 anyway. (I was thinking MSDOS but you're prob right.

Probably started on DOS and then started the beta testing on Win 98!

If it were me I would be keeping it a secret. I had the previous Drum Core whole "shebang". I just came out of the closet.

I only ever had Kitcore and found it useful. I preordered the Drumcore 4 light as a 64bit player for that. Of course in the time I have been waiting I have added much and probably wont use it frequently.
I don't have much interest in the audio loop part of the program.
So, installation seemed to go OK but very clunky. Now I need the migration program to Import my Kitcore 3 stuff, its not in my downloads. Lets see how responsive support is?

Who would buy this? That's a lotta BFD, SD2, EZD, AD2 who have proven track records. Taking this long on a product makes me ? development. With the competition that has surmounted since then $199 may be realistic. To me that would be like recent Tracktion priced at $399. I also have Riffworks. Guess when the last time they worked on that? Those prices scream arrogance more than reality.

$49 for Lite and $249 for "prime". They would claim Prime and Ultra to be offering something different, but it just looks like a massive collection of Audio loops to me with single hit, MIDI based stuff added in (the old Kitcore.) I have no interest in Prime or Ultra but they may appeal to those who want audio loops in a convenient player. The price still seems high when compaired to some loop libraries. I would also be reluctant to spend any more money with the company given the fiasco in bringing this to market. It’s over two and a half years since that took pre-orders.

Deluxe = mostly audio loops. Submersible Drumcore licenses not transferred to a Riffworks account. Make Music did this with Garritan products. All Mackie Tracktion 2.3 licenses were transferred to Tracktion developers who then gave you Tracktion 4 free. Lack of license transfer is why I will never consider this product. Even Cakewalk still carries my Sonar 2 licenses.

I can think of many. Sonar browser, Reaper browser, oh wait any DAW has one. Talk about being late to a party. So many drum modules have been out. They would have to really market this like Submersible did. They also failed to go 64 bit when their competitors did.

This could be why I don't have the migration program, I hope not, It was certainly implied that the Kitcore content could be used in DC4, but that was a long time ago! I am waiting on support to get back to me. The free "sweatener" kits that were given out early in the delay period work in my Kitcore, and they appear in my account.

I ran the migration there was an error message but it seems to have migrated my Kitcore content OK. I need to dig deeper, maybe some of the sonic reality expansion packs were the issue. No, stuff missing from the migration for sure! Authorisation was straight forward but beware iLok haters! Not impressed so far, no multiple outs that I can see, unless I am missing something this is a big step backwards from the old Kitcore. And - its crashed Sonar already.

Well, ran the migration tool again and the error message says, "users licence is not an upgrade type" I think this is different to the first time but I cannot be sure. So back to support, who at least seem responsive.

In that case, given the pace of development so far I doubt if we will see multiple outs any time soon. Two and a Half years after taking pre-orders we get a half finished product!

What a joke... Why bother releasing it if it doesn't even have the basic functionality that current Kitcore users have been accustomed to for years? This is an embarrassment...

Support were very helpful and sorted out the problem which was due to them entering my details in the database incorrectly. Every thing is now migrated. The lack of multi outs is the major disapointment. It also seems unstable and crashed Sonar again this morning, of course that say its not tested on Windows 10. It sort of looks unfinished like the CEO stormed in to the development office and said "I have had enough, I want this out on Monday, no ifs, buts or excuses." The old Kitcore kits sound good dispite the age and you have some sound shaping options, EQ, Compressor and delay and bit crusher on each mixer channel - but only 7 channels. The mixer has a control to select the output so multi out must be on the plan. Each velocity layer has tune, pan, velocity range, transient shaper etc. Seems I have a lot of audio loops which I was not expecting, downloading the Alan White ones now. I will need to play around to see how good those are. All in all though it seems like not enough, much too late.

Any updates on how this is working? Have an upgrade deal for Drum Core 3 users (which I am), but wondering how well it is working on SPLAT. The Billy Martin Expansion Pack which I have is my favorite drum set (Owner of AD2 multiple sets, Superior Drummer, EZ Drummer, and Drum Core 3, Session Drummer 3) and is the reason I'd upgrade is for 64 bit capabilities.

It seems to be stable now. The main issue for me is the multi out routing that was added in one of the updates does not work in Sonar. If you only use the audio loops this won't be a major issue but it does reduce the utility of the MIDI kits.

I'm actually only interested in the MIDI functionality. I wouldn't install the absurd number of audio loops if it wasn't a requirement on install. Thank you for the insight on the multi-out routing, that is certainly a limitation.

I have pretty much, its a shame because a lot of the old Submersible content is very good. My initial reason for buying into to the pre-order (just the light version) was to use the old content, particularly the Luis Conte latin kits and MIDI loops by some great drummers. In the intervening time and a few Toontrack and BFD expansions later that content is not so necessary. The most likely use scenario for me these days is drag out the MIDI and use it with one of my other drum VSTis.
