Ok, Digging a little deeper..you can map it to BFD, Superior, EZDrummer, Addictive Drums, V-Drum TD-12-20 and 3-6...
You can change mics...adjust velocity curve...and a whole lot of other stuff....even snare bleed control...
And comes with a LOT of MIDI ....
I like it...what a freebie....

Hi Ol Pal, Usually your web browser (I use Chrome) pops up a bar at the top of the web page and asks Translate to English?? Yes or No. If you don't see that, then take a look at the web page (top right) it shows Deuthch or English.

Welp...when I tried clicking on the English button in the upper right it kept taking me completely away from the "Drumica" touting page. So I went back and am now downloading it on my project studio box (about 2 hours or so, it says) so I'll know later today if it came down OK. I can probably figure out how to register one way or another.

Ol Pal.. Just go to the site and create an account...then do the "register" thing. When you log into your account there will be a link that says "Get Activation Code" Once you've clicked that it will give you the code...once you've installed Service Center will open and prompt you for the code....paste and activate...POC...

Well here's what happens when I try to "register" on the main page. No matter what I click on that says anything like "register" nothing happens...nada...nuttin...zilch. If I click on the "download" button it takes me right to the download page where I can (presumably...I left my studio computer running/downloading earlier) actually download it. But nothing I click on takes me to a registration page. I was able to get to a log in page. But since I'm not registered...no love. Again, if I click on the "English" button it takes me to a complete other web page with no mention of Drummica at all. I'll try again when I get back to my studio box...I'm on my office laptop now. Thanks for all the help tho...but when you're a dimbulb nothing is a POC:-)

I'm pretty impressed for a freebie...gotta say...very usable sounds...and a ton of MIDI that could be used with any Drum Sampler...so...that alone was worth the download to me...
I did purchase the Neil Pert Drums for Kontakt when they were on sale...as I'm a HUGE HUGE HUGE... Did I mention HUGE Rush fan.....they sound REALLY nice...I got them for like 20 bucks with my eSounds Points...woo hoo..

The demos sound pretty good. The drums sound natural and believable, if a bit generic.

Thanks for the tip on this, cclarry! I got the library up and running. Learned a bit of Deutsche along the way. The drum samples themselves aren't the best I've ever heard, but what makes this kit fun are the different mic choices. I don't think I know of another drum library that allows you to choose from a virtual locker full of high-end mics (Senn and Neumann, in this case) and compare how they sound. Cool stuff! Cheers, Eddie

OK...I just registered (I think). Lord knows what I said I did or do or where I live or whatever...I just kept filling in blanks till it seemed to end. I'll try logging in at lunch when I'm back at the project studio and see if I can get an activation code. They probably think I'm a lumberjack who heard about them from a taxi driver on the planet dipton. But I think I may have muddled my way through. I'll let ya know.

Obviously I'm way biased... and who can argue with free... But I don't care for the sound. Sounds like the 70s, totally dead, dry as a bone... cardboard drum sound. Granted, you can take the open/ringing sound too far (sounds messy)... but I like a more open/balanced tone. One other thing: If you're recording drum samples to show off extensive/expensive mics, why not use a "real" drum kit? Acrylic drum shells (while neat to look at)... just don't sound like a great DW or top-tier Sonor (maple or birch) kit.

The link will take you back to where it all began. Log in and ultimately you will get to a page that will allow you to generate the key for Kontakt 5 player. That key will be used at the end of the DrumMicA installation when it launches the NI Service Center.
