Drums in the piano roll (Snap issues)

Hello, I've began to try and create my own drum tracks using the cake walk sound center and entering MIDI notes in the piano roll. My issue is that i cannot have more than one MIDI note per second/segment of grid. I'm not sure if this is a snap settings issue or im missing something. I'managed to get several notes together only by entering each start time of the note. There must be a more effective way of entering notes. I've played with the grid res but that only seems to resise the grid and not have any affect on the note placement themselves. ANY help would be amazing please!! Cheers

Yes, that sounds like a snap to grid problem.  If you've tried different STG settings, try turning STG off and see if that works.

it could also be your piano roll view grid resolution as well. try zooming in a little closer and change the grid res.

    Welcome to the forum.
Try changing the snap-to grid note resolution. Or turn it off.

Thank you all very much, you're all telling me the right thing. While i was waiting for responses i resorted to pressing each key on the keyboard to see if i was missing a toolbar, and wouldn't you know it. I was. So now the snap to grid tools have appeared, i feel i can move on and experiment about a bit. CHEERS!

Pressing each key on the keyboard looking for something is kinda like sticking your hand in a hole under some rocks in rattlesnake country.
