Drums?

Newbie here! Thanks in advance for all the help I have recieved just reading all the topics so far. I just installed mc3 and if I read the box right it said it has drums w/ the program? Where do you find the drum sounds and do you have to have midi inorder to get them to play? Also; here is my post in the new users post that might help with a few other q's. I'm a little slow on the computer recording, but heres what I know about my set-up:

o/s- xp(home) on a Dell 5150 laptop
MC - 3rd Edition
Speed- Memory- ?
Sound card- What came with laptop

Which comes to my question: I was trying to find a differt sound card, but I was told I could use my podxt/live line6 pod as my sound card and that would help on my latency problem? If so what do I do to make that conversion? Is there any place to go to make the learning process any easier? Thanks in advance.

HELP IF YOU CAN!!

With MC3 you can use acidized drum loops, or samples that are built for looping. These are placed into an audio track cut and paste style. Or you can use midi to build drum tracks.

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!

superc_1 - yes, the podxt can be used as a sound card for MC3. connect the pod up to your computer using your USB cable, then make sure that you install any software that came with the podxt so that windows recognizes it as a sound card. then open MC3 and rerun the wave profiler. here's how you do that:

OPTIONS>AUDIO>ADVANCED click on the button that says WAVE PROFILER
    close MC3
    restart MC3

now you should be able to choose the inputs of the podxt as AUDIO inputs to your AUDIO tracks.

If your sound card supports MIDI, you can use the drum map and enter the beats in the piano roll view. On a MIDI track, select 'drum map' for the output. Then go to 'view' at the top and select 'piano roll'. Then draw in the beats!
It's not really that easy, but see what you can find out. The getting started guide and help files have all the stuff you need to get going.
