Dual Core Intel Machine and Sonar4

Hi, I have stayed with Sonar4 forever and have no immediate plans to upgrade. I have been running  an Athlon 3700+Barton core /socket 754 / XP Pro machine with no bugs ever. The machine is finally dying(MOBO I suspect)
I have found a Dell, Intel based Dual core machine that looks to be in great working order. All specs are usable OS/RAM/Drives/PCI /etc.

Will the Dual core cause me problems?
Or should it remain stable? Like the Athlon 3700+Barton.
I have reasonable experience and expectations for the AMD, Athlon/Duron/Sempron cpu's,but I have no idea or practical use of Intel.
Thank You for any input.

Edit,I forgot to mention I use a pair of M-Audio 24/96's

since sonar 4 is not written for multiple cores, you might have problems depending on how you use sonar and what the actual speed of this machine is.  I don't speak AMD, so I don't know what CPU speed an Athlon 3700 is.  as long as the speed meets the speed requirements for S4 then you should be fine.  you'll only be using one of the 2 cores with S4, but if one core at the speed you have is OK for your workflow then it should be fine.
