Dual Monitors

I need some help with the setup of sonar 7 producer and dual monitors. I just bought a 23 in WS and set it up with my dell laptop. My card is able to "extend" my desktop and it all works well. I can move any window between them. My problem is this, I've seen sonar PE have the track view on one monitor and console view on the other. I cannot get this to work. The transport moves back and forth no problem, but I can't split the track and console view to each monitor. I do not have them maximized either. Is there a setting in PE that I need to turn on?

In console view window, click on the left top corner, float enable the view. You should be able to move the console view window outside the SONAR window to the other monitor, maximize. Good luck!

I just checked and it is indeed normal 'left click.' Hope this didn't throw you off.

    Hi sincky.

You need to run on "Floating" on the console window. This is located at the top left of the window, where the "system menu" is. Right click the icon and it should be a menu option. (I hope that made sense.) "Floating" lets you move windows like console and piano roll view outside of the main Sonar window.

On most any view (except the track view) you can click on the icon in the top left corner of the window and enable floating mode. Once a view is floating it can be dragged anywhere outside the main SONAR window, including onto a secondary monitor.

Once you get it set up how you want just save it as a 'normal' template.

I'm glad you got some sensible answers to this one. I've been clicking the 'two screens' button next to the red cross to close the program, then stretching it all across and blending together. This caused all sorts of problems, especially when re-loading plugs.

Take heed Padawans...follow the ones that can read!
    Thanks for the tip.
