Dumb Question

I know this has probably been answered a hundred times, but I can't find the answer in a search.

I just bought a new computer, and need to install Sonar Producer 8.5. Do I need to install v.8 first, or does 8.5 contain everything?
I do have the Installation DVDs.

Thanks.

If you have the 4 DVD version of 8.5, that's all you need to install. Don't install it over an older version though. Install it in a new folder. You should also download the 8.5.3 patch after you get 8.5 installed.
