Dumb Question

... and by Dumb, I mean really Dumb Question. I am starting to sell my productions. They are being used in both my shows and other local theater productions; ads on radio and online. I am using Producer and I am building off of loops provided in the libraries. IOW, I am using the loops as starting off points and I am also combining various loops.

Can I do this? Use the loops in Sonar library, add to them, arrange them, mix them and sell the final products?

There are no dumb questions, only dumb questioners.

I am pretty sure the loops are provided for just such a purpose, so probably licensed for that use as well. Find and read the license\terms of use that came with your version of Sonar and see if there are any restrictions on what you plan to use. I seem to recall that there were restrictions on some of the sample content at least in the past.

yep.  you can do that.

I think you can, otherwise the stuff showing up on Sonar, Abelton, and other programs would be not useful to most players!

However, I bet you, that once you make a million off it, that the DAW you use is going to demand a stipend, and what not! At that point you use their name as "advertising" and you're even?

Hehehe!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!
