Dumb question - Addictive Drums

So, do I have to have my DAW on-line to install Addictive Drums, or are there files that I can just download and install (like Sonar does)?

Just want to know if I have to buy a really long network cable to put my DAW online (don't really want to).

Thanks.

I haven't purchased X3 as yet but I am a long time Addictive Drums user - if it's the standard AD install, its online - you have to connect your machine direct to the internet and it installs and authorizes automatically - its actually a good system as it checks and alerts you to upgrades / updates etc

OK, that's what I thought based on reading their website.  Thanks.
