Duplicate VST Entries in X1, 2, & 3 installed before SPlat 2017.0x

I saw this for 2017.01:

VST Scan & Plug-in Manager

  • If a VST3 plugin's name is changed in an update, VSTScan now no longer creates duplicate menu entries
 
So everything in SPlat is fine but after one of the updates I'm getting duplicate entries for ALL plugins in X1, 2, & 3.
 
All Sonar versions share the same VST scanner so what's up here?

    These are mirror entries, IOWs, there are 2 entries for each plugin. Changing one entry changes the other.
     
    Am I the only one seeing this?

    This only affects VST1 & 2 plugins, instruments and effects. DX, DXi & VST3 have single entries as expected.
