Dying to know what this one means lol!

The faulting module is in either Chinese or Korean and I don't speak either.
Just a standard 'export audio' mixdown attempt.

I'm guessing the BEX64 is possibly one of the new Blue Tubes FX?

I have not got the "Windows Explorer is not Working" just the 'fatal error' that shuts down Sonar and the offending module is the Chinese text in the picture. I don't have a copy the Chinese Text in the error box so I cant search what it actually refers to.

I asked a couple folks, and they said it they did not recognize the characters readily. One suggested it was a name ( 緈烐) and the other thought it is "messy code" which is seen on computers crashing in China often.

Edit: "Garbled Code" is the final answer... when I suggested this to both they said " YES, it could be, because these characters are not used in China anymore"

    mettelus,

Thanks for the reply. So Im wondering if the 'messy code' could somehow be something related to Sonar since it was Sonar named as the application in the error?

LOL... yes... they BOTH had taken a long time before explaining anything... and one first said "The Chinese like to track things..."

It makes no sense, since "module" should be an application name... even "garbled code" tells nothing...

Perhaps the dreaded "Garbled Code' crash was a Halloween prank back door from one of the code contractors lol!!
Hmmm, very clandestine! Maybe we can get Noel to chime in on this??

Because of their poor quality control and bad rap, China is now mislabeling products to fool people as to where they are made. Looks like they're in the plugin business now.

I think it is time to re-examine the naïve belief some of us have that Cakewalk is actually doing coding in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

More likely the name of the faulting module was unable to be obtained.
So the string buffer just showed random stuff.

As for BEX64, that's just an event name.  Not anything to do with Blue Tube stuff.
64 for 64-bit.  On 32 it'd just be BEX.  Just doing an export could still exercise plugins.
So, it's not immediately apparent what module the fault is in.  You can try performing the export while in safe mode which would rule out the plugins.  If that's fine, then one way to track down which one's causing it is to do a classic binary search algorithm where you divide things up and say archive 1/2 the tracks and continue searching in the 1/2 that still crashes and so on until you find which plugin is causing trouble.
