Dylan cover: Positively 4th Street

I just upgraded to a new computer and installed X2a. Not a single crash so far - very smooth sailing. I wanted to share my first recording on the new set-up (my first song post in a long, long while...):

a cover of Positively 4th Street. Vocals by my daughter.

Dylan was such a great writer. He had so much to say....and some of his songs prove that. This was one of those.

Nice job on the cover.  Your daughter can sing. The mix sounds nice and open. Everything where it's supposed to be.

    I like this cover.

I have to agree with Herb on this one.  It is well interpreted, and the recording is open and clean.  I'm glad your X2 experience is working out well for you, and I hope you post more songs with your daughter.

    All the best,

Thanks all for listening; I appreciate it. My daughter will be very happy reading these comments, too!

Yes, Dylan has written a lot of great songs and this is one of his very best.

    Thanks again.

A lot of times w/ covers it is hard to find the balance between simply doing the same song not as well or losing what made people like it.  I like this version of the song.

Nice clean amped guitar makes this song work -  meaty w/o overpowering.  It allows the arrangement of the other instruments to come through.  And good voice on the daughter.  Proud Dad.
