EG question

When you sync to the host the envelope generator, does the grid (the ten by ten rows/columns that are visable) represent whatever note resolution you select for the sync...or is it just for looks? I can't figure this out.

The Sync parameter represents the distance between Note On and the sustain point position. That note is *re-sync'ed* when you release a key (Note Off: also the sustain point position). Sync is always locked to host tempo, but where that sync begins is determined by where you place the note.
the grid (the ten by ten rows/columns that are visable)
That's involved with the Snap option. Every 100 ms. represents another Snap position in the grid. This option and Sync can be related, but they don't have to be. Look at it as two independent features that can also work together.

I had a graphic to illustrate all of this. I'm afraid that it may have become one of the victims of my system meltdown.
