EMU 0404 enable ASIO out

Firs sorry if my question doesn't quite belong in your forum. I have been searching the net to figure out how to enable Asio output on my new EMU 0404 pci card in the patchmix dsp. I find the interface highly confusing.

I don't care about any inputs. I just want any sound played in pc output to asio to my amplifier using the analog output.
Hope someone here can help me. For now it works only with wave out...

Thanx in advance

Greeting from NightRhyme

It looks like you already have the ASIO input. The PatchMix will take the ASIO signal and send it to the analog outs (PCI Card Out L/R on the top right part of your picture).

The place to change to ASIO would be in your Cakewalk software.

    Hope this helps...

Patchmix can be a bear to get down, but once you get the concepts, you'll love its flexibility.

Ok... if I am understanding your question correctly, you want to route the output from Wave 1/2 to a physical out, to feed your external amplifier.

Here's how: Right-click on one of the empy slots on the Wave 1/2 mixer strip that are under the meters. Select "Insert Send," and then select your 0404's physical output from the drop-down list. This will send it to your external amplifier, and you can go from there.

    Hope this is helpful...

depending on what your source is, you may need to select the emu in the windows control panel: sounds and audio devices.

    check the emu forum: http://www.productionforums.com/viewforum.php?f=114.

there's a link to a helpful sound on sound article about patchmix.
