Not sure about the currency conversion. In the US the Proteus packs are $79 'List price' and $49.95 'Your price' . I think I bought the Planet Earth Proteus pack when it was on sale for $19.95 once. That's the only Proteus pack I'm familiar with, but I love it. It sounds great to my ears. I love having all those various ethnic instrument sounds available to me. I can remember when the Proteus MIDI modules were considered to be about the best sounding MIDI rack modules you could get. These are the same sounds as those modules.

I bought it ages ago for more,  considering the amount of sounds it's worth that price.

just as they were modules some sounds have been hammered commercially over the years.

the trick with with it , is to mix 2 pads together etc. to get something newer sounding

I wouldn't say its the best sounds I have, but not the worst.. I'd give it a 7-8 out of 10 I guess.. there is a LOT to it

You may also wish to check out the free E-MU ProteusVX softsynth.  Many of the included sounds are better quality than their DimPro Proteus Pack counterparts.
