ETA for X2a??

Seems like it has been a little slow baking.


Is it just me?

    I remember Seth saying in one of the demos that the Windows8 patch would be released this year. Probably this will be X2a.

    Beyond that, who apart from Cakewalk knows? I prefer if they announce it the same time they release it- saves people getting geared up and then disappointed when some contingency arises and the schedule gets delayed.

    Thanks for all the big letters, that makes it look all the more important ;).

    Be patient, software takes a long time to test, unless you would prefer to have it half baked. Sonar has been out less than two months (21st Sept), I wouldn't expect anything for at least 3. You're probably looking at the beginning of the new year or just before Christmas. I place bets on January.

    Sell by date at 9000 posts. Do not feed.
    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    they won't answer.. so don't ask..  we all find out at the same time.

    64 point fonts... and here's me thinking freddie was the only on with that annoying habit.

    since you have been here since 2003 , I find it funny you dunno how they roll by now.

    So the demo is more up to date than my build?

    Oh, I don't know about that. My initial foray into Sonar was through the X1 demo, and I was finding all sorts of bugs and peculiarities with it that led me to wonder if it was a demo of X1d or some earlier version.

    Yes I know but when you downloaded the X1 demo it was never made clear what version of X1 you were getting a demo of. I couldn't make an objective assessment of it in full.

    Just installed the demo on my laptop. The build is 308, which is the build of the quickfix they released on 9/27.

    Well you got the quickfix a couple of weeks later. I don't know about you but I want a fully tested service pack and I'm prepared to wait for it being fully tested.

    That would be a sensible conclusion, however I very much doubt it, marketeers generally demand this sort of stuff, and they generally couldn't care less about stability, they just want the product out there. I suspect this is a direct reaction to recent forum posts a marketeer read.

    Exactly,I would much rather wait.
    The only problem I'm having is some of the documented[in this forum] oddness in PRV,which I've found ways to work around,but nothing else,apart from the fact that its software on a computer,and random twitchiness,is part of the deal,and a restart nearly always results in everything being fine again.
    I haven't had any problems with Breverb in busses,what is going on there?
