EZ Player Pro for Superior to Addictive Drums

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone here used EZ Player Pro to use Toontrack Superior Drummer MIDI Grooves with Addictive Drums 2? I've bought in pretty heavily to the Addictive Drums 2 world since getting Sonar Platinum and have a ton of kits for it, but there's so many great beats/patterns in Superior Drummer. I'm under the impression that's exactly what EZ Player Pro does (allows you to use Toontrack's proprietary MIDI patterns with other drum samplers), but I haven't found a word for word definitive answer on how exactly that works and if it's easy/quick to do.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

BTW this video shows using it to use Toontrack's own MIDI tracks with its own program, EZ Drummer... And you can even see Addictive Drums (1, not 2) as an option in the menu... But it doesn't actually show it using Addictive Drums, so that's why I'm just looking for maybe a little added experience before buying.

You can take a midi groove from (I have EZ Drummer 2) and drag it to EZ Player Pro with the Addictive Drums 2 wrapper and then drag it to Addictive Drums.

I don't think you can do it in real time though. Again I can build the midi for a complete song with EZD2 and drag it to EZ Player and it will convert the midi to AD2. Then drag that to your AD2 track.

...or you can send me your email and I'll send you an EZD map that you can put into AD2 that will do the same thing most of the time. I had a few instances where the map didn't work perfectly, so I bought EZ Player pro to have when I needed it.

as long as i can try one, see how i like it, try another, see how i like it, and once i like one, drag it into my track and then just copy and paste... it sounds pretty damn cool. i'm gonna send you a pm though with my email to see what the wrapper is like to kind of get a feel for the idea, because yea, this is totally a new concept to me. thanks!

Map sent. Let me know how that works. There are people on this board that have had EZ PLayer Pro for much longer than me...and know far more about how to set it up properly. I had the chance to get it for cheap...so I bought it.

You can use AD2  with the midi in ez player just choose AD2 in the map wrap button. Can't remember what it says but the button is on the left side just above the song building area. Ez player is all you need for drum maps. You can choose BFD, Abbey Rd's,just choose Kontakt for the map wrap. Ez player splits the midi into seperate instruments too so you can use the snare and kick but use the ride from a dif groove, for example. Doesn't alway have all the drum there but is very usable. There 2great videos by Brad Bowden on youtube. Check them out.
