EZDrummer problems loading library

I have problems lauching EZDrummer.
I have the latest ezdrummer installed with the build in drum kit.
Ezdrummer loads on a track and when opening the vst Ezdrummer says that there is a problem loading or locating de library.
Cann't do anything with it anymore.
Removed Ezdrummer and reinstalled it again. No luck..
I had never never problems with EZdrummer in the past.

Anybody got this aswell?

Can you load EZdrummer in Toontrack's host TTSolo?

If you are using a 64 bit version of SONAR, you must use the 64 bit version of EZdrummer as well.

If you have installed the 64 bit version of EZdrummer, you must create a scan path in Cakewalk's VST scanner.

I don't have TTSolo on my computer.
I use 32 bit of Sonar.

I don't have TTSolo on my computer.
I use 32 bit of Sonar.

Download it from the Toontrack site to help establish if this is a SONAR configuration problem or an EZdrummer problem.

Since we can eliminate the 64 bit SONAR issues, can you verify which version of EZdrummer is displayed on your EZD GUI?  Make sure it displays the latest version which you have downloaded.  Have you moved any EZdrummer files manually (this could create some registry issues)?

Back to basic SONAR vs EZdrummer issues:  You must let SONAR create an audio track and a midi track when it inserts the soft synth.  If the audio track isn't there, the library won't load though it usually doesn't give you a warning message.  Also if you are using Win 7 try opening SONAR in administrator mode if you aren't already doing this.

Another thing to check would be to make sure the library you are trying to load doesn't have an update that you forgot about.  IIRC, as features are added and bugs have been fixed in EZD there have been some library updates that are mandantory.

I'll try to monitor this thread to see if I can help you find the problem.

Dave has some good suggestions. I would like to add that if you are comfortable with editing the registry and you do not have any other Toontrack product installed, that you clean your registry of EZD and then make sure your EZD install libraries are clean or removed completely. I believe that if EZD is installed as the first TT product that all other installs use the same library for sounds. If you try to install somewhere other than the default directory, that could also cause issues.

Dave, please correct me if I am wrong.

Also, you could go over the the toontrack forums and post your issues there for more feedback from other EZD users and possibly development.

I have Win7 and SD2 as well as EZD 32 and 64 installed with no issues.

Thanx !!! I have ezdrummer worked perfect on my daw always..
I never removed anything.. I have installed only Ezdrummer basic (installer + de basic drum kit with it)
Also have the latest update installed of Ezdrummer...

Everything worked great. Untill a few days back.
Never had this in Sonar 8.5 before this problem.
Ezdrummer opens 1 midi and audio track itself normally and i run X1 in administrator mode.

    Strange problem ;)

Ok, next thing I would suggest is to use System Restore to restore to a date prior to when the problem started.
