EZMix 2 effects only heard on Playback?

EZMix 2 effects only heard on Playback?

I upgraded to EZMix2 and am having a problem with using the new amp simulators as an insert effect if  that's the correct term. 

 I plug my electric guitar into my UA25-EX Hi channel with Hi Z button depressed.  Make sure phantom power is off.  In HS7XL I Insert an audio track, set input and output to the UA25EX, add effect  EZMix2, select a guitar amp or any effect for that matter but I can only hear the effect on Playback not when I Record.  Makes it hard to get an appropriate  guitar sound for the song

What am I doing wrong?

By the way EZMix2 sounds incredible.

    Did you click the Input Echo button?

    I got the EZMix 2 upgrade as well. Still playing with it, not overly impressed. It's a good way to get a quick mix, but I'd still go back and use actually EQ's, Compressors, Delays and so on... It definitely looks cool, but yeah that's not necessarily going to make my mixes sound better. On another note: I just picked up the Focusrite VRM Box, can't wait to get home and put the baby to sleep so I can start tweaking with this thing.
