East/West Pianos Gold and Sonar X3

PC, Windows 7 Ultimate, Intel Core 2 CPU, 8 GB RAM, 64 bit

There is a slider on the East/West PLAY module for the pianos which 'opens' the lid on the piano. This not only modulates the volume, but also changes the quality of the sound--much like a mute on a trumpet. When I use the piano VST, the default position of the slider is closed. I can change the position as the piece is playing and it works. However, when I restart the piece, the sound goes back to the closed position even though the PLAY module looks like the slider is in the new position I moved it to, and just clicking on the slider will change the sound back to where I want it.

I have tried to get help from Quantum Leap/ East/West, but so far they aren't answering. Anybody else run into this? Is it a Sonar or a QL problem? I haven't run into any other instrument problems from East/West and Sonar, but I have barely scratched the surface with what I have.

Thanks

    Hi pennycl,
Wow...it sure does...I've never noticed that before. I even tried unchecking "Zero Controllers when play stops" and "Patch/Controller Searchback". Even more annoying, it's not automatable, so you can't set it. Grrr...

Sadly, I'm not much help other than to say that I'm seeing the same thing. Wonder if it does it in any of my other hosts...

EDIT - Wait...now it seems to be working. I restarted Sonar and the Lid Position is remembered correctly after stop/start. Hmm...maybe I was just deaf the first time. Gotta poke at this more...
