Easy Questions? tempo of midi tracks and cutting portions of wave track.

I assume there is an easy way to change the tempo of all measures in a midi track. When I change the tempo at the top of the screen it only changes the tempo of the current measure. So how to change the full track not just current measure?

Whats the easy way to cut a section out of a wave file? I used to pick the first spot>F9>Delete, then pick second spot>F10>Delete and I had my clip. Is there a way to setup this same functionality with the new (to me) interface of X1?

A project initially starts out with only one tempo entry in the tempo map at 1:01:000. That tempo will pertain until another tempo change is encountered. Check your tempo view. My guess is that you copied and pasted a MIDI clip many times, and included tempo changes in the copy options, so that there is now a redundant tempo entry at every measure. You can simply delete them all from the tempo view, and use the initial tempo to set the whole project.

Edit: F9 and F10 were remapped in X1 (along with many other long-standing shortcuts firmly embedded in the motor cortex of long-time users like myself). I restored the original key bindings to set From = Now and Thru = Now.

Spot on with your first answer and I will give the remap a of the keybinds a go. Thanks.

Glad to help. You might also want to check the bindings for F7, F8, Ctrl-F9 and Ctrl-F10, which also changed. IIRC, some keys were disassociated from their original assignment and not re-used for anything else, which seemed really goofy.
