Echo Drivers: WDM or ASIO?

Which Echo drivers are better, in terms of performance and stability, in Sonar 4.02: WDM or ASIO?
Thanks,
Sergio

Sonar Tech Support insists in ASIO and Echo support recommends WDM. Is that your personal experience?

I get about the same latency with WDM vs. ASIO, but I swear I hear little clicks once in awhile with ASIO that I don't get with WDM. I'm going to stick with WDM.

I've got an Echo Mia Midi and whether I use ASIO or WDM depends on the version of the driver. If I use the latest Beta driver from Echo, then WDM is almost useless but ASIO works fairly well. I ended up dropping back to the latest stable (shocker eh?) and I use WDM.. Sort of. I use WDM through ASIO4ALL so really SONAR is using ASIO but ASIO4ALL talks to my Echo with WDM.

Long way of saying WDM. (Bit long winded).

At least 8-9 years worth of experience with their products.

WDM and Super Channel work best with SONAR for me. I like a functional latency slider. I haven't had stability issues with either.

I'm using Echo Gina24s on two systems via WDM, on my DAW I also have a Tascam FW-1884 and they play well together. I'm running Sonar 4.02 Producer.

Echo drivers are top notch. I'm using the 6.11 beta drivers because I'm playing with surround sound over S/PDIF.

    Thank you all.
I've been successfully using WDM with Super Channel for years but now that I'm using my new dual Xeon motherboard (ASUS NCCH-DL) and the 6.11 drivers with my Layla24 I've been getting out of time recording following stuttering sounds or a nasty screech during playback that does not crash my system (it allows me to save) but Sonar will no longer recognize the Layla until I reboot.
I never had these problems with Layla24 or Mia cards.
I've kept the Layla PCI card in my old system and purchased a new Universal PCI Card (3.3 v) from Echo to install in my new system. I'm using all 16 channels and the clock is set to ADAT which is being generated by a Mackie Onyx 800R.
I suspect that the stuttering my have something to do with the Onyx but I have no idea about the screeching. Two days ago after a screech and reboot I could not open the cwp file and after running the checkdisk program the file dissapeared!!!!! I still have the WAV files in the Audio Data folder but is going to be hard to figure out which take goes where (I had done lots of copy and paste).
    Any further help is appreciated.

I run into delayed playback issues using Echo ASIO drivers. For me this is not acceptable at all. I switched to WDM where I don't have those problems. That reason was enough for me to switch alone.
