Edirol M-16DX doesn't work with Windows 7 +64 but newest driver was installed first time
Hi all! Some days ago I bought the Edirol M-16DX. This piece got version 2.0 pre-installed. All cables are connected correctly. But it doesn't work with any audio software like Cakewalk Sonar X1 or Reaper or Ableton Live. Sonar is calling with the following status message: http://k.minus.com/jt0t5rFpAGnQu.jpg (Status Message of Sonar X1 in english: "Following drivers doesn't support the actual audio format or are in use by other applications. Please choose between deactivate these drivers or still keep on using the drivers.") Would be very nice if you can help me. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forum. This page http://www.roland.com/products/en/_support/dld.cfm?PRODUCT=M%2D16DX has lots of driver updates and it looks like the one you have from the disk is a system update, not a driver update. I could be wrong, though. I don't see what you see. Check for the latest drivers for your system, download and install them and see if you have better luck.

Thank you for your answer but that doesn't fixx the problem... I used the correct driver/firmware from this site. Maybe it doesn't work because i putted off WGA?

Treiber-Modus WDM/KS: Distorted sounds... Treiber-Modus ASIO: Nothing. No sounds. :( Treiber-Modus MME (32-Bit): Distorted sounds... Treiber-Modus WASAPI: Sounds good. Are you using ASIO4All? That is just a "wrapper" for the WDM audio driver to make it work more like an ASIO driver. It is also very aggressive (it will try to control all the audio regardless of your selections). If you have ASIO4All on your computer, delete, remove, and obliterate it completely from the computer then try Roland's true ASIO driver. If you don't have ASIO4All, nevermind.

Hi! Thanks for answering. Roland doesn't published an own ASIO driver I thought. I uninstalled the ASIO4ALL driver and re-installed the Edirol driver and all works fine. :)
