Edit question -- adding beats

I know this is basic stuff but finding it ...  I have a bunch of takes, some hidden and some visible.  I have a space in my lyric where I really need a couple of beats to take a break and let the lyric soak in.  Can someone tell me how to quickly select all tracks, all takes and add a couple of beats? I know how to set the snap and all ... I can fill in the blanks with pieces of measures later.
Thanks in advance.

Answer from yesterday. You will likely need to split the tracks at the point where you want to add the beats, as the referenced reply relates to inserting time at the beginning.

I Select | All, then put the marker (Now) where I want the extra beats and do a Select | From =  Now.  Then I Process | Slide everything by the number of ticks.  If you are using 480 ticks per beat and want two beats, slide 960.  (I use 120 ticks so two beats would be 240.)

I had not thought about having to split clips because I usually tweak the arrangement before I have recorded audio.  I am glad Craig mentioned that.

I select and cut (CTRL+X) everything from the point where I want to add an irregular bar. Make sure all of the check boxes for cut tempo changes, markers, etc are checked. Then I insert a time signature change at the correct bar. Finally, I paste everything after the irregular bar.
