Editing multiple MIDI clips in X1 Essentials

Can multiple midi clips be edited in X1 Esssentials?

Eg: I have a drum track with 80 different midi clips and decide that the velocity of the bass drum needs changing in all the clips, can this be done as part of basic X1 Essentials functions?

Also, if I'm part-way through a song and decide I need to change the whole song up or down a semi-tone or a tone - or even an octave - can this be done as part of basic X1 Essensials functions?

By "part of basic functions" I mean I don't have to make an upgrade or have an extra plugin or some such other extra on top of the basic Essentials bundle.

Look forward to any answers.

Thanks

    1. Yes... open the track in the Piano Roll view. Click the keyboard key or name of the bass drum in the list on the left to select all those notes. Then you can hover the Smart tool over the top of one of the notes to change velocity and it will affect them all.

    2. If the song includes audio, then no, I don't think so. If it's just MIDI, then yes, probably. You would need to select all the tracks and then use the Transpose function.

It's only for midi so the transpose function sounds like it would cover that.

    Thanks for the reply.

Checked out your newletter - That Tascam portable recorder looks interesting.
