Educate me - comping

I recorded multiple takes on one track.

Sonar is only playing one - the others are grayed out.
I want to hear them all.
Advice?

One way is to select the Mute tool and unmute them. Another is, IIRC (not at the computer right now), to drag across them with the select or Smart tool when it's not showing the comping icon.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

They're not muted. They're just grayed out and not playing back.

Just google a YT tutorial. Everything will become clear in less time than it will take to explain here.

If you never worked with comp trks, do what Sander said. Get some videos to help you out. It's much easier than explaining it here.

It may take you a little bit to grasp the new workflow of comping. But once you do, it is really a great new and fast way to comp.

It's what I did and it changed my life. And I'm only exaggerating a little.
