Elastic audio like feature?

I know Sonar has audio snap, but I have tried it and it's pretty useless when trying to line up guitar tracks. It get's all weird sounding. I seen Elastic audio demo's on you tube and it works flawlessly.

Any chance this is going to be an improved feature in the future?

Why don't you use Cakewalk by Bandlab?  It has this feature now.  Sonar is not going to be updated anymore.

FWIW I've lined up guitar tracks all the time just by setting the edit filter to transients, and adjusting them. AudioSnap isn't required unless your playing is really, really out of the pocket.

Also don't forget you need to render the edited version to use the higher-quality offline algorithm. One of the big advantages of elastique is that the preview mode is much better than what was available before.

Melodyne (Editor version) also does a great job of cleaning both the timing and tuning of guitars.

If I'm travelling, I use a 1/2 size kids guitar for getting ideas down. The intonation not good, and my timing suffers from not being used to such a small instrument. Melodyne fixes both these issues for me until I get back home and re-record it with a real guitar.

Just to be sure, after I have my edits done, bouncing to clips will render the edits correct?
