Emergency Sonar 8.5 question...SOLVED

I know...but it's stable...until today.  I've got two tracks of voice over that are there and playing but the waveform is only partially rendered.  How do I get it to redraw the wave forms??  It's something with the picture cache I think.  Any info will be appreciated.

Duh...I just exported those partially drawn tracks to the desktop and imported them back in.  bingo.  All waveforms drawn.  Edited and out.  Never have seen 8.5 lockup like that though...couldn't even shut the DAW down ...had to do a forced shut down.

Hey, Ol' Pal, glad you got it squared away!  Just for the record, on my Sonar 8.5 running on Windows 7, the picture cache is located at C:\Cakewalk\Projects\Picture Cache , and all you have to do is delete the files in that folder and restart Sonar to rebuild all your wavforms.

Hope this helps for the future, have a great day, buddy!

Thanks Bob, ol pal! I knew it was something like that...just couldn't remember. And even the machine is ancient...running XP. But I'm seriously considering going to 7 and 64bit using Platinum like on my DAW.

*Whew!*  I'm so glad you figured it out and the solution was easy My 'Ol Pal!  I'm now realizing that the Sharpie suggestion I was going to offer sounds a bit ridiculous now.

They should probably make a button for them called "Convert to sausage."

But that would make a "wall" .... !!!
