the Digital factory bank I bought had an EXE installer which took care of that.

I bought the viral outbreak one at the same time, and it had a readme file where to place the files..

it also stated you may have to re-scan the preset list if it's not shown.

Dimension Pro does not read SoundFont files (.sf2). You'll need a synth that is capable of using .sf2 files instead. Or use a sample converter program to convert the .sf2 into .wav multisamples and .sfz control files which Dimension Pro can read.

    SFZ and NNXT do, however

I have DSF1 and it works ok in DimPro

DSF1 is in another format though (not sf2) ?

when you said "virtuoso" i assumed it was in the DP form... sfz , programs / multi samples.. NOT sf2's

I've never tried sf2 in DP though, personally

NNXT does work ok with sf2's but I'm not 100% sure if it loads in the whole font, or just part of it, thats why I'm not a great fan of it. I used to be back in the day of soundblaster, but not so much now.

The SoundFont format is a common denominator between many soft synths. You can get a free sfz VSTi player at http://www.project5.com/products/instruments/sfz_player/default.asp and load SoundFont banks by dragging and dropping the file on the player. Our SoundFont libraries are also compatible with Cubase, Kontakt, Reason, Logic, Garageband, FL Studio, Emulator X, Proteus X, and numerous SoundFont synths.

Digital Sound Factory Volume 1 and the E-MU Proteus Pack are compatible with Dimension LE and Pro only.

    Best Regards,
