Encoder

does anybody know if the Sonar upgrade to 8.5 includes the MP3 encoder?  Or does it have to be purchase separately?

    Just use an external LAME-encoder, it can be downloaded for free.

    Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.

    Yeah I went for the lame option too. On the S8PE disc it has a great auto install patch for many varieties of lame and others BUT you will have to mod your registry if you have lame in a different location to the default.

    Works well.

    ASUS H270, i7-7700, JLM BA & 1290, LA2A Opto4, loads of guff.
